Add a carer or parent to a child

There are no limits to the amount of parent or carer accounts that you can add to your Edna account. If a child has a large extended family or network of carers that would like to have access to their day to day activities you can add them all without worry.

Invite a new carer or parent

1. Navigate to the profile page of the child who you would like to add the carer or parent to by clicking Children in the main menu and then selecting the desired child.
2. Once on the child profile page click the ellipsis icon in the top right corner to open the action menu.
3. Select Add [Child name]'s parent or guardian. This will open the add carer modal window.
4. Under Invite a new parent / carer to Edna Enter the parent or carers name and email.
5. Click Invite carer

Manage pending invites

Pending parent and carer invites can be found under the Parent / Carers tab of Preferences or under the Carers section of the child profile to which they have been invited. These can either be re-sent or deleted.

1. Click the ellipsis icon next to the invite you want to edit to open the action menu.
2. Click Resend invite or Delete Invite or click the ellipsis icon to close the action menu.

Add and existing carer or parent to a child

If a parent or carer already has as account in your Edna system it's easy to add them to other children.

1. Navigate to the profile page of the child who you would like to add the carer or parent to by clicking Children in the main menu and then selecting the desired child.
2. Once on the child profile page click the ellipsis icon in the top right corner to open the action menu.
3. Select Add [Child name]'s parent or guardian. This will open the add carer modal window.
4. Under the Add an existing carer account find the carer you want to add to the child's profile.
5. Add them by clicking on their name.
6. Select Done when finished.
